Margarita Shrimp

Margarita Shrimp


PREP TIME:  15 minutes
COOK TIME: 15 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 30 minutes




The Parts:


 1/4 cup green onions, chopped


       1/4 cup oil - canola
       2 Tbls honey
       1 tsp grated lime peel
       1 clove minced garlic
       2 Tbls fresh lime juice
       2 Tbls fresh cilantro chopped (totally optional!)
       1/2 tsp salt – or less or pepper
       1/4 cup tequila
       30 large shrimp, shelled, deveined with tails left on


The Process:



 1. In medium bowl or ziploc bag, add all ingredients except shrimp and mix
2.            Add shrimp – toss marinade
3.            Cover bowl and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours

Grill :
1.   Heat grill to 350
2.   Put shrimp on soaked skewers – toss marinade
3.  Cook until just pink turning once

Broiler :
1.    Coat broiler pan with cooking spray.
2.   Remove shrimp and throw away marinade
3.  Place shrimp on broiler pan.
4.   Broil 6 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes slide out pan and flip shrimp over and cook until l shrimp turn pink. You will need to watch them carefully, they can become over done quickly.
